The European Consortium of the MAIATZ SIMULFORM joins together six organizations with very definite specialities and experiences. The coordinator, IEFPS Miguel Altuna is a public institution which provides Vocational Training in the Basque Country. It has a tradition of vocational training which branches into Mechanical manufacturing and has a close relation with regional companies of the sector, which are involved in training activities. It is an ideal receptor of this transfer, which is motivated by its perception of sectorial needs and its capacity to test and implant the training program.
Another important member is ARMINES CEMEF, a centre of investigation in materials and in higher technical education which was a promoter of the VIF CA project, objective of the transfer. Its role in the project concentrates on the approach to transference and the development of contents, materials, teaching materials and case studies.
Another two Centres Of Investigation and Training, DIMEG and IPU participated in VIF CA, collaborating in the process of transference of contents and in the elaboration of ''benchmarking tests'' as case studies. Because of their close relation in the industrial area and in the mechanical manufacturing sector, both participated in actions of identification of abilities and in carrying out pilot training experiences to test out the training program and introduce it definitively into their educational offer. The three centres have a clear speciality in the investigation of materials and in the simulation of manufacturing processes, as is demonstrated by their wide experience in participating in R+D projects and in the EU's Framework Programs.
Tknika, as a Centre of Innovation in Vocational Training, contributes its experience in the application of ICT with a didactic end in its task of producing the materials and teaching resources. It guarantees the best use possible of the results of the project in the network of vocational training centres in the Basque Country and diffusion at a state level.
ITURBROK, given its 15-year-experience in the participation of 47 European projects, both as a promoter and as a member and as a provider of technical assistance to promoters, supports MAI in management and in evaluative actions and guarantees the proper development of the project.
